South Ridge Publishing Center

The South Ridge Publishing Center is a PTA-sponsored incentive program that encourages students at all grade levels to practice their writing skills. Students draft and edit their written work in the classroom, then submit the piece to the Publishing Center where volunteers type the story into a book format, place a binding and decorative cover on the book, and return the final copy to the student for illustration. These books provide a lasting copy of the author’s written work. The publishing center has been in operation since circa 1995 and publishes approximately 500 books per school year.
