Email: katy.sheley@ridgefieldsd.org This is my fourth year at Ridgefield High School. My husband’s job with the United States Department of Agriculture in Portland, OR moved us to the area. I have taught science since 1994 as an environmental educator and a classroom teacher in school districts in Iowa, Colorado, Alaska and most recently, Wyoming. I love teaching all sciences but the biomedical sciences are my favorites. I was born and raised in Iowa City, Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University in 1993 (BS) and University of Iowa in 1999 (Masters of Arts Teaching in Science Education). My husband, Casey and I have two daughters, Maddy (19) who is a sophomore at Western Washington University and Izzy (14) who is a 9th grader here at RHS. We also have one english setter (Eva) and one bearded dragon (Ozzy). |
